SKYCITY Breakers weekly development trainings overview

The SKYCITY Breakers are not only a championship professional basketball team, but also home of one of the strongest basketball development programmes in Australasia. Development starts at the age of 5 within our FUNdamentals basketball leagues through to our flagship Academy programme which includes the yearly High Performance Programme and the Breakers Summer Camp.

Between the ages of 5 -19 years old we offer a range of programmes that will assist in the development of athletes toward their basketball goals. Some programmes are by selection only while others are open to any level player.
 
Please read through the program to the right to see if there is a programme appropriate for your child. We take great pride in the success of our development programmes and have seen a large number of athletes go on to fantastic achievements, including all 4 members of the World Champion 3 on 3 team being members of our Academy programme.
 
For those athletes that show the right attributes we offer a genuine pathway to becoming a fully professional and international basketball player.

Open entry programmes:
      - Future Breakers Club Years 1-8 (Age 5 – 12)
      - Pro Shooting Programme Years 5 – 13 (Age 9 – 18)
      - Saturday Skills Programme Years 5 – 13 (Age 9 – 18)
      - Year 1 and 2 Fundamentals League (age 5-7)
 
Selected programmes:
      - Elite Development (Ages 10-12)
      - Elite Workout (Ages 13- 15)
      - Girls Development (Ages 10- 16)
      - Academy (Ages 14 – 20)
